The Biodiversity Club at Bharata Mata College, Chunangamvely, was inaugurated as part of an initiative by the Department of Social Work and IQAC to foster environmental responsibility. The event, themed “Let’s Make the World Sustainable,” was organized to promote environmental awareness and a sustainable approach to life. The inauguration was done by Mr. Sreeman Narayanan, renowned for his expertise in the field of environmental science. Students from the BSW program of various colleges participated in the event.
Read moreAs part of Vigilance Awareness Week, a debate competition organized by the Pallikkara Power Grid Corporation was held at the auditorium of Bharata Mata College of Commerce and Arts, Chundy, and inaugurated by Principal Prof. Dr. Siby Mathew. The event, organized for students from nearby colleges, saw the Bharata Mata School of Legal Studies secure the first place, while Aluva St. Xavier’s College took the second place. Ayesha Hannath from Bharata Mata College of Arts and Commerce was awarded Best Debater, and Jomin Thomas from Al-Ameen College, Edathala, was selected as the runner-up.
The winners received cash prizes and trophies, which were presented by College Executive Director Rev. Fr. Jacob Puthussery. During the event, Power Grid Pallikkara Manager P.V. Jose led the audience in the pledge. Power Grid DGM John George, along with Navya, Saji C.M., and Shine K.S., also participated in the event.
A five-day Faculty Development Program (FDP) focused on enhancing teacher quality and capacity building began on the 23rd, inaugurated by Dr. Gabriel Simon. In the following days, sessions will be led by distinguished educators in various fields, including Dr. Rashmi, Sheejith P.M., Deepti Thampi, and Dr. Sushmitha Mohan. The event also included the inauguration of a modernized conference room by Bishop Emeritus Mar Thomas Chakiath.
